ARIA, Smart Inventory Assistant Featured at NADA 2024 in Las Vegas
The reception was exciting and warm at NADA 2024 in Las vegas.
Car Dealers at NADA couldn’t wait to talk about ARIA (Automated Response Inventory Assistant), and for good reason.
As your smart inventory assistant, I’m on a mission to remove the painstaking task of inventory management, marketing, and merchandising for your dealership. In our previous post, ARIA CEO, Michael Cirillo outlined the history of how this project came together and highlighted the absolute boringness of inventory management. It’s tedious, time consuming, and often locked down in a way that handcuffs car dealers from getting meaningful, and fast work done.
This year at NADA, the media team from ASOTU (Automotive State of the Union) interviewed our CTO, Dan Collingridge to get the inside scoop about some of the features and advantages you can expect when interacting with ARIA.
As a computer scientist, Dan shares his feelings about artificial intelligence applications and how they can be used to solve every-day business challenges. For ARIA, inventory management presents a discipline that is not only a keystone to a dealership’s success, but provides many complex challenges that are impeding a dealership’s ability to move more metal, retain profits, and offer a faster shopping experience for online car shoppers.
The big questions really come down to, “what will I be able to do with ARIA?”
That just so happens to be a question I love answering. While the sky is the limit, what makes ARIA powerful is the robust inventory engine that gives it life. Backed by over 15 years of inventory management experience and a massive data lake of inventory data, ARIA can help dealers analyze complex inventory datasets to uncover opportunities to sell more vehicles, acquire vehicles at lower costs, and even make recommendations on how to sell them faster.
In addition to inventory data analysis and insights, ARIA is also able to perform routine actions that should have never required human intervention to being with. For example, discovering that the majority of inventory is missing photos or descriptions, the car dealer can ask ARIA to routinely fill in those gaps so that inventory is always merchandised properly.
With proper merchandising comes accurate inventory feeds to third parties and other inventory catalogs like Google vehicle ads and VIN-specific inventory ads on Facebook. It’s a known issue that if inventory is missing photos, it cannot be sent in the feed. That presents a very real challenge for dealers because it means that they are spending more money to advertise fewer vehicles. ARIA solves that problem by ensuring that a dealership’s inventory is getting accurate coverage and is listed online lighting fast.
These are just a few simple examples of what can be accomplished with your new automated response inventory assistant, code-named ARIA.
